PREVIEW NIGHT November the 12th, 5:30 to 7:30 at the Port A Gallery in the Pelican Landing Complex. Check out the flock and choose the one you want to bid on. Remember all proceeds go to the ARK. Contributions are tax deductable as allowed by the tax code. Food and beverages will be served and there is no charge for the Preview. EVERYONE is welcome at the PREVIEW NIGHT. THE GREAT HERON RELEASE DINNER AND AUCTION is November 13th, starting at 6pm. The Civic Center, 710 Avenue A in Port Aransas is where the flock of Herons and supporters of the ARK will meet. Call Friends of the ARK at 361-332-6361 for reservations for the Dinner and Auction. Tickets for the Dinner and Auction are $50. Admittance to the auction only at 7:50 pm is $20. |
Welcome to "Herons Happen!," a fund raiser for the Animal Rehabilitation Keep in Port Aransas (More commonly known as the ARK.) These lovely aluminum Herons will be transformed into works of Art to be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the Great Heron Release Auction in November. Friends of the ARK, a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit organization, will sell the aluminum sculptures to a sponsor who can choose an artist of their choice to transform them into fabulous works of art. The artists will be paid by the sponsors $200 for the work on the Heron. The artist will keep the copyright for the art.
